Todays' rifle enthusiasts love to talk chassis, but too often the conversation is locked into a rigid definition of what a truly effective rifle chassis should be and how it should perform. It needs to be rigid, of course, in order to maintain consistency, and it should have the ability to accept common accessories. In some cases it will be able to adjust its geometry to suit shooters of different sizes. Such products are often marketed as a chassis "system"... all well and good, but at CHOATE we decided that it wasn't quite enough. We believe that a truly world-class chassis system should actualy BE a system. That is to say that the rifle should be able to adapt to changing needs based on shooter, action, caliber, environment, mission and supporting gear... AND remain consistent shot after shot. That's a tall order to be sure, but here at CHOATE Machine & Tool, we like to call that a slow Tuesday.

C MOD. MEANS NEVER LOSING ZERO

THE WORLD ISN'T STATIC. WHY SHOULD YOUR RIFLE BE?

The chassis is the heart of the system - precision CNC machined from solid aluminum billet. The Choate Modular (C Mod.) stock allows the user to quickly change the forend and butt stock without having to remove the rifle from the chassis, so you never lose zero. Each chassis comes with two mags and a set of action screws. Forends come with mounting bolts and a bipod adaptor designed for Harris bipods. All system components are compatible, giving a wide range of configuration options. The C Mod. utilizes the proven AR-style mag release, eliminating accidental mag drops. The C Mod. mag will accept rounds up to 2.850 inches in length. It also fits rounds in the .308 Winchester family like .243 Win., .260 Rem and 7mm-08 Rem, among others like 6mm Remington, .257 Roberts and 7mmX57 Mauser.
